Knowing Manta Network

After its troubled token launch, Manta Network attempted to rise and has now managed to become the third largest Layer 2 network by total value locked (TVL).

How did Manta Network get to this point? Let's take a look at the journey of the story.

What is Manta Network?

Manta Network is a modular blockchain built for zero-knowledge (ZK)-based applications. One of Manta Network's main goals is to address blockchain adoption issues, including privacy, scalability, and interoperability.

Manta Network has two main networks, namely Manta Atlantic and Pacific.

Manta Atlantic is a layer-1 built on the Polkadot network. Manta Atlantic is claimed to be the fastest layer-1 in Polkadot using ZK technology. ZK enables transaction verification without revealing full transaction details, increasing privacy and efficiency.

Manta Pacific is a layer-2 built on Ethereum. Manta Pacific uses ZK technology to deliver faster and more private blockchain applications. Manta Pacific is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) which offers support for decentralized applications (dApps) and uses Celestia for data availability.

The combination of Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic provides a reliable infrastructure for web3 developers who want to build fast, private, and affordable applications. The combination of Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic provides flexibility and distinct advantages
